White Magic GT-1000 is a self-crosslinked acrylic copolymer emulsion engineered for polyester tubular gauntlet fabric used in lead-acid battery separators. It delivers superior thermal and mechanical stability, prevents active material shedding during charge and discharge cycles, and maintains optimal electrolyte permeability.

Key Performance Attributes
High stiffness imparts the structural rigidity required for tubular battery gauntlets — the cured film is intentionally stiff and brittle. Self-crosslinking chemistry means no external crosslinker is required. GT-1000 offers excellent acid resistance in sulphuric acid electrolyte, oxidation resistance for long-term durability inside lead-acid batteries, high thermal stability up to 215°C curing temperature, and controlled porosity that allows electrolyte flow while retaining active material. Method of Application
Step 1 — Impregnation: dip 100% PET woven tubular gauntlet fabric into GT-1000 emulsion, adjusting weight pick-up to 25–30% via padding rolls to achieve target stiffness. Step 2 — Drying: dry impregnated fabric at 70°C for 30 minutes. Step 3 — Cutting & Rodding: cut fabric to required dimensions and insert stainless steel rods into the gauntlet tubes. Step 4 — Curing: cure at 200–215°C for 10 minutes to activate crosslinking. Step 5 — Finishing: de-rod and pack.
Shelf Life & Storage
Four months in the original sealed container. Store in a cool, dry, shaded place at 5°C to 35°C. Protect from freezing. Available in 55 kg and 220 kg pack sizes.
